A good size, to not tiny, excellent for any space within the house and a awfully nice addition to a living and entertainment space setup. The TV itself includes a terribly sleek and classy look to it that is incredibly nice and you don’t notice anything however the gorgeous image staring back at you. You can see all the detail of facial features, or the black pepper flecks on fresh grilled steaks on the food network channel. The picture was great right out of the box, no messing with the configuration so far, having it tuned in will even be better. Not sure where others are having a buzzing sound problem because this one is silent expect for the crystal clear sound quality pumping out of the stereo speakers. The room that the TV is set is not really large so the speakers are great, you don’t really need to connect it to a home theater.

If you are planning to use a Wall Mount for your PN58C550 which weights 62.8 pounds, pretty light for a plasma HDTV,  it still needs to be reliable and strudy.

We always recommend using the “Ox of  Wall Mounts” how some people call it, the Hercules HRM-100 from Opteka, casted from 2.0/2.5mm thick cold steel. It’s certainly not the cheapest one around, but you want to make sure your expensive plasma TV is mounted to the wall really well.

There is a 50-Inch version of the C550 plasma as well, the PN50C550. The technical specifications and key features are the same, only the screen size is different and of course it weights a little less.

Don’t get confused if you find other C550 TVs from Samsung as well, always pay attention to the serial number prefix. The LN46C550 for example is a Lcd television from the LCD 550 series and not a plasma screen.
